Voyage is a compilation of the art productions and urban installations of Nadim Karam and Atelier Hapsitus. It spans a period of fourteen years, from 1986 until 2000, covering his works ‘from Prague bridges to Japanese temple gardens, public spaces in Beirut to a simultaneous Dublin/London installation’. His work ‘blurs the boundaries between art, architecture and urbanism through the imagined and realized projects’. The design of the book was structured around rewriting ‘Voyage’ into three different readings: Time – hourglass VA, Vision – binoculars OG, and Thresholds – key YE. The book design is a subjective reading of the content using bold typefaces, stark colors, multiple grids, among other techniques to highlight the surreal anomaly between the artwork and its urban settings.
