“While moving through time, it is virtuous to nod for memory, moving the other way!
KFAS HQ’s architecture inspires movement, by sloping up, stepping back, and tri-vaulting its façade into a liwan; all to set the building of tomorrow at equal footing from Kuwait’s “modern” past.
In the 70’s Pearl Marzouq had its private pool disrupt the Arabian Gulf public coastline, until it was reclaimed with the promenade’s landfill in the 80’s. KFAS HQ, instead, lets the green meadow in, doubling the public area and creating a visual setback between Pearl Marzouq and itself; a chronological span of mutual respect!”.
