A photographic documentation along 14th street (extending from FDR east to 11th avenue west). On September 12 2001, one day after 2 planes crashed in the WTC, Mr. Giuliani, New York mayor then, ordered closing traffic below 14th street. Also pedestrians were not allowed below 14th Street unless they present legal documents proving that they reside or work below 14th street. State police took over the checkpoints along 14th Street.
